WALKING INTO DZN STUDIO + HOME, founded in Greenville in 2019 by Ann Nager, is like entering the brick-exposed loft of your hip best friend. Clean lines complement cozy textures and comforting colors. This is all a result of a dedicated team obsessed with modern furniture and exceptional quality.
Cozy modern is a term coined to describe DZN’s unique approach to style—a polished mix of Scandinavian, mid-century modern, and European furniture and décor. Each piece that the DZN team—consisting of Ann Nager, lead interior designer Ashlyn Jones, and project manager Bailey LaFosse—shares with their clients, is meticulously selected. And DZN’s standards are high.
“We’re not your typical furniture store. We are very design-first,” says Nager. “We try to be edited on the floor and then approach clients from that design perspective—getting to know who you are, what you’re looking for, and what’s important to you.”
Each piece that DZN sources must align with its core values, which include working directly with manufacturers and craftspeople in the Carolinas and the United States. This creates a sense of connection to the people and landscapes close to home. The team also curates a selection of high-quality, sustainably and ethically sourced European pieces. DZN’s goal is to connect clients with well-designed spaces and heirloom furniture to last a lifetime.
To the DZN team, the pieces are more than furniture—they are functional art. “People like to hear about where a piece is made and who made it,” says Nager. “People come to us because they know we carry quality furniture, but it makes them feel good to learn that we source locally and sustainably.”
DZN moved from downtown Greenville to Hampton Station in September 2025. Now, with an expanded showroom and design studio, the team has more room to grow, including hosting several design-inspired events throughout the year. Here, they strive to make the design process approachable for all. Whether a client is looking for a single accent piece or support in designing an entire home, from lighting to layout to furniture, the DZN team always brings connection, care, and ingenuity to the table.
